COURSE CARE
A few moments of courtesy during a round will assist the club significantly in the way of ground staff time and costs, and ensure a more pleasant round for all golfers.
The condition of the greens is a matter of pride for all golfers & staff and can have an impact on a player's score, so careful attention must be given to the putting surfaces. The most important aspect is the repair of pitch marks – the longer a mark stays unrepaired, the more likely it is for our creeping bent grass to fail. Please ensure all pitch marks are repaired at the time of play.
Sand buckets are available at the starting tees and divots must be repaired. A careless repair may provide an unfair lie for other players, and may also damage course equipment and will result in the fairway taking longer to repair. In winter, replace the divot and sand around the edges - in summer, please throw the divot off to the side and lightly sand and flatten with your foot.
It is important to leave bunkers in good condition for following players. Please enter bunkers at the low-point, repair any foot prints and divots with the rake provided, push sand back to the centre of the bunker and leave the rake in the middle with the handle facing the direction of play.
Staff have right of way on the golf course at all times. Players must not hit if there are staff, equipment and machinery within range. Please wait for staff to complete their task, or if they provide acknowledgement that they are ready for your approaching ball please confirm with a mutual wave.
Trundlers and golf carts are not to be taken across tee and greens surfaces.
Following this simple guidelines will promote the enjoyment for all players.
